I heard someone say that he needed to fix register problems to get his computer’s speed back. He certainly was correct in his sentiments but his terminology was a little off. Yes, it is confusing because computers certainly have registers. In fact, they have quite a few registers.
Computer registers are contained in the microprocessor. They are what does all the internal calculations. Plain and simply stated, if there were no registers, there would be no computers.
An important part of a Windows operating system is its registry. The registry is a Windows data base strructure that organizes the entire operating system. You have to maintain your registry or your computer will be slow and difficult to work with. The way to fix registry problems and to keep your registry in proper order is to run a registry cleaner regularly.
