Regestry checker is actually a misspelling of the word registry checker. Even at that a registry checker is better known these days as a registry cleaner. Back in the days registry checkers were around they were used to findproblems in the Windows operating systems registries. The checker would print to the screen a list of the problems it found and then leave the computer user to figure out how to fix these problems.

A registry cleaner will locate all the problems with a Windows operating system’s registry as well, the difference is it will repair all the problems with the registry. As you can see, a registry cleaner is a big upgrade from a registry checker.

The reason anyone would be interested in getting the corruption cleaned out of their registry is because this corruption can cause a PC to act up any of several ways. Most notably registry corruption will cause a computer to lose all or a significant part of its speed. Potentially a computer will slow down so much because of registry corruption it will be unusable. More commonly however, the PC will slow down just enough to be aggravating.

Aside from that registry corruption can possibly cause computer errors, freezes and crashes. This includes blue screen crashes. So, the bottom line is a computer should checked for and cleaned of registry corruption periodically so all these problems can stopped before they make a computer become a big problem for anyone who uses it.

Windows registry checker software are programs that are downloaded and installed into your computer and have the capability to scan through all the operating system’s registry files finding any registry errors that are present as it scans. Then, since all modern day Windows registry checkers are really registry cleaners, the program will repair any errors it has found. These errors in the registry are also known as registry corruption.

Registry corruption is left behind when any software program is removed from a PC. Keep in mind all hardware is accompanied by their device drivers and they also, are software programs. While this may seem like enough of a chance for a Windows registry to become corrupt; spyware is software as well and when it is removed, naturally registry corruption is left in its wake.

As the annoying announcer on the TV commercial commonly blurts out, “but wait. there’s more!” Temporary Internet files also have the capability of leaving registry corruption behind after they are removed. As you can see, registry corruption is impossible to avoid. This is particularly true in this day of high speed Internet connections.

It is easy to see why registry cleaners are seen as a must have tool for all computer operators. Registry corruption is the main cause of computer slow downs and computer errors. You can think of registry corruption and computer slow downs as the same thing because the loss of computer speed is caused by corruption much more than anything else our computers are confronted with. In other words, if your computer is running slow, probably registry corruption is the cause.

Of course, there is little that bothers computer operators more than when his or her computer becomes slow. Sometimes, a PC can become so slow it seems almost entirely unresponsive! It is usually registry corruption that is behind these types of computer slow downs as well and by far and away the best way to rid a PC of this harmful registry corruption is by using a good registry cleaner.

It used to be a computer owner would need to hire a professional computer repair person or get some unusually good help from computer support in order to fix PC errors. Many times errors would pop up in years past, as they do today from time to time, after a hardware or software install.

The problem, in days of yore, would be that errant entries would be put into the registry during the install process and this would cause computer errors. Unfortunately, often a computer owner or even a technician would be unable
to fix the registry and a complete reformat and reinstall would be done. Even more unfortunate is the fact this is still done today because many people do not know a good registry cleaner will take care of the problem in almost all cases.
