Then there is the time aspect.  It cost a pretty good amount to have a technician work inside your computer’s registry for a couple hour whereas running a registry cleaner is not at all expensive.  In fact, just getting a scan with a top notch registry cleaner to find if there is corruption in the registry is usually free.
